About Us
Introduction:
All over the world cancer is known as a dreaded disease because of its impact on the human body and mind. According to WHO 10 million of people are suffering from cancer per year. It is estimated that the number will double within 10 years. In Nepal the number of cancer cases is increasing day by day.

Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital (BCH) was established by Nepal Cancer Relief Society in 1992 as a 15-bedded cancer care center with the support of Sahid Smriti Cancer Service Group. At present Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital has been established as a national level cancer hospital and has become a model hospital of first public -private partnership. Nepal Cancer Relief Society is running BCH with the support of Nepal Government, Rotary International and Local Community as well as the foreign residents and visitors also have contributed the project through donation of land, money and services. Currently, it has 62 beds with 140 staffs (Technical, Ancillary and Administrative).


 Our Objectives:
•    To establish the hospital as a state of art tertiary referral center.
•    To provide quality and compassionate care be easily accessible patients.
•    To collaborate with the NCRS and community in the field of preventive oncology and early detection.
•    To provide palliative care services, pain management and cancer support programs.
•    To introduce computer based hospital management information system.
•    To provide charity services to poor and needy people.
•    To conduct cancer registry and telemedicine.
•    To play role in the training of manpower.
•    To do academic and research work in cancer.

•    To support all the activities of government and B P Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital To fight against cancer in the country.

•    To encourage maximum community participation in our activities.

The Organization:

Our organization is Autonomous, Non-profitable, Charitable which generates charity to needy people from different part of the country.
The management committee is assisted by advisors from various areas to carry out specific activities. The Management committee is represented by the personalities from Nepal Cancer Relief Society, Rotary International, Ministry of Health and Local Community of Bhaktapur, along with high profile experts and professionals as advisors
